Hi, I'm Maham Munawar, originally from Karachi, Pakistan. I started my medical journey at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School for my pre-medical studies and went on to attend Dow University of Health Sciences for medical school. In 2020, I made the big move to the U.S. to chase my dream of becoming a doctor.

I've always been drawn to internal medicine because of the wide variety of experiences it offers. It’s a field that not only deepens your knowledge but also helps you grow as a person while mastering different aspects of medicine. When I interviewed at Conway Regional, I felt an immediate connection—not just because the program seemed top-notch, but because the residents and faculty felt like a closely-knit family. I knew I wanted to be in a place that offers strong support through the ups and downs of residency, and Conway Regional felt like the perfect fit. The encouragement from our preceptors has been a huge motivator for me as an intern, and I'm excited about all the learning and growth ahead.

When I’m not at the hospital, I love spending time with my daughter and family. We enjoy dining out, shopping, playing golf, and going on playdates. There’s nothing better than seeing the joy on my daughter’s face when we’re together.
