Exceptional Outpatient Nurse is DAISY Winner
"She listened attentively to my fears and answered every question I had from the first needle stick to the recovery process," said the patient who nominated Bailey Cummins, RN, for the DAISY Award. "She was exceptional during one of the most stressful moments I have encountered.”
Based on an anonymous nomination, Bailey has achieved Conway Regional Health System’s latest DAISY award. A patient who was preparing to have general anesthesia for the first time described Bailey Cummins, RN, as a calm, compassionate nurse.
Cummins of Greenbrier has been a nurse in the Conway Regional Ambulatory (Outpatient) Surgery Department for more than seven years. “I instantly felt the warm, compassionate atmosphere with Bailey, and I was put at ease with her positivity,” stated the patient. The patient said Cummins spoke highly of the expertise of the surgical team of physicians and nurses and relieved the tension by sharing cat stories with her.
The patient added, “She listened attentively to my fears and answered every question I had from the first needle stick to the recovery process. She was exceptional during one of the most stressful moments I have encountered.”
The DAISY award is given to nurses who provide exemplary care and service to patients, family, and co-workers and is the highest nursing award given at Conway Regional.
DAISY recipients receive the healer’s touch miniature stone sculpture along with team rewards points, a two-month exclusive parking space, cinnamon rolls, and an award certificate.
