Congratulations to Brittany Feazell, RN, Labor and Delivery, Caitlyn Fee, RN, Emergency Department, and Mary E. Moix, RN, Trauma, on being recognized among Arkansas' 40 Under 40 Nursing Leaders.

Three registered nurses with Conway Regional Health System have been named to the Arkansas Center for Nursing’s 40 Nurse Leaders Under 40 recognition for 2022. The list honors emerging young nurse leaders throughout the state.

Honorees are:

  • Brittany Feazell, RN, Labor and Delivery, has more than nine years with Conway Regional. She is a certified lactation consultant and perinatal bereavement specialist.
  • Caitlyn Fee, RN, Emergency Department, has more than four years with Conway Regional.
  • Mary E. Moix, RN, Trauma, has more than seven years with Conway Regional. She is a trauma coordinator/registrar working in the Emergency Department.

The 40 Nurse Leaders Under 40 recognition is designed to identify, celebrate, and encourage dedication and leadership in the nursing profession. The selection process is highly competitive. The selection criteria include a commitment to excellence, service, and outreach within a community, leadership qualities, and contributions to nursing advancement.

All the recipients will be recognized in a special ceremony on October 12 at the Benton Event Center.

The Arkansas Center for Nursing’s mission is to promote a culture of health for the residents of Arkansas by advancing nursing education, practice, leadership, and workforce development.

A few questions to get to know the Conway Regional honorees:

Q: What was your inspiration for becoming a nurse?

(Brittany)

“I have always loved helping and taking care of people. Everyone deserves someone who will stand up and be their advocate, and I knew I wanted to be that nurse. I am inspired by nurses who go above and beyond and the nurse that has a great team, and everyone feels appreciated.”

(Mary Elizabeth)

“When I was young, I saw my dad (my favorite human on the planet) become very sick, very quickly. Thankfully his illness was short-lived, but I decided that I never again wanted to feel that helpless—especially if my father ever needed my help. I became a nurse so that I was never in that position and was equipped to help anyone who might need it.”

(Caitlyn)

“My mother was a nurse for almost 20 years, and I was fortunate enough to grow up watching the positive impact she had on those around her through nursing. I followed in her footsteps and hoped to one day touch as many lives as she did.”

Q: Why is Conway Regional your workplace of choice?

(Brittany)
"I have been with Conway Regional since 2012; I came to work here as a CNA and became a Nurse in 2015, I have had four of my children here, and I couldn't imagine working anywhere else. Conway Regional is my Family, and the value One Team One Promise is the motto I live by."

(Mary Elizabeth)

"I was born at Conway Regional and have lived in Conway my whole life. I love being able to serve my community alongside team members who are here for the same reasons, and I love being able to see (and be a part of) the impact our organization has made and continues to make on my hometown."

(Caitlyn)
"I've loved the city of Conway since I moved here to attend UCA in 2009. Conway Regional seemed like the obvious choice when I was trying to find my healthcare home."

Q: What are your leadership pursuits?

(Brittany)
“I plan on getting my national certification in obstetrics nursing, continue to be a Labor and Delivery charge nurse, and perinatal bereavement specialist that demonstrates excellence by being a patient advocate and making a difference any way I can.”

(Mary Elizabeth)
“I am here to serve my peers and community, and I strive to do whatever is necessary to fulfill that. I look forward to being challenged as a nurse and leader and growing the skills it takes to advance my career and make a difference in our organization.”

(Caitlyn)
“I try to act as a leader in my daily practice at work. I strongly believe leading by example is one of the best ways to impact those around you positively.”
